POLAROID LAUNCHES EASY MY MEMORIES SUITE DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING SOFTWARE
Software lets users “capture, create, share” digital photo albums with a variety of publishing options
October 12, 2007, Minneapolis, MN - Polaroid has today announced the release of My Memories Suite™, a digital photo software program that combines six software applications into a single, easy-to-use photo/video album solution. The innovative software program powered by StoryRock™, allows the effortless creation and organization of digital photo albums and home video, and lets the user publish projects on CDs, DVDs, printed materials, as well as web pages. The innovative software launches with a regional infomercial today, October 12.
My Memories Suite combines software for scrap-booking, photo-booking, slide shows, photo editing, page layouts, and DVD authoring. The program features an easy-to-use format that is the ideal solution for Polaroid’s key demographic, the “Chief Memory Officer”, women 25-45 who are trusted with the task of archiving family photos.
“Our studies show millions of digital photos are taken each year with the vast majority never seen again,” says Jon Pollock, Polaroid VP of New Technology. “My Memories Suite is a fast, easy, convenient way for even the novice computer user to get those pictures out of the computer and into the spotlight.”
Using My Memories Suite is incredibly easy, as each captured memory—photos and video, journaling and audio recordings—are made accessible with a couple of clicks of the mouse. The user need only open a designer template and My Memories Suite helps her find pictures and videos, and creates a master album. Adding graphics, text, even music is just as easy. Files can be dragged at any time from the desktop directly into the open project. The user also has the option to use existing designer templates or create an album from scratch, adding to the enjoyment of the truly creative hobbyist. Once a master album is created, it's just a couple more clicks to share in a number of ways; as a professional-looking printed book, CD or DVD, or a stylish website.
