Collaboration with StoryRock Enables Schools to Create Interactive Yearbook Content to Supplement Printed Yearbooks

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Lifetouch Publishing Inc., a leading provider of printed yearbooks to elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and colleges across North America, is pleased to announce its collaboration with StoryRock, a world leader in digital multimedia offerings.

Lifetouch Interactive Memories, powered by StoryRock, offers students an interactive CD yearbook experience to complement their traditional printed yearbook. Students will be able to view photos that usually don't make it into the yearbook. Yearbook advisers and student staff can customize the CDs with video, Web links, personalized text, photos and narration.

"Schools can now include hundreds, even thousands, of photos that typically would remain unseen by using the first and only system that integrates Lifetouch Publishing's innovative web-based yearbook creation tools with StoryRock's digital publishing tools," said Karen Adamson, Vice President of Marketing for Lifetouch Publishing. "Nothing will ever replace the traditional printed yearbook, but through our agreement with StoryRock, we are able to offer schools more interactive options to preserve school memories."

More than 22,000 partnering schools will be eligible to create Lifetouch Interactive Memories multimedia yearbooks during the 2006-2007 school year.

"The demand for multimedia memories has been steadily growing as students not only want, but expect, digital options," said Sharlene Hawkes, Executive Vice President for StoryRock. "Now we can truly bring the school year to life by showcasing not only extra photos, but also supplementary video, narration, music, documents, hyperlinks, and even Web links."
